Household Child Raising Allowance Support
This policy reduces the parental burden on child raising at home and guarantees the rights to choose child care services.
Who is eligible?

Targets
- This policy is applicable if you raise an infant (aged under 84 months at most) without assistance in childcare costs, tuition fees and all-day childcare services irrelevant of income levels.
- This policy is applicable for a child with the nationality in Republic of Korea who has been issued a Resident Registration Number according to the Residents Registration Law.
※ A child of Korean national abroad may be applicable only after completing the Resident Registration for a Korean national abroad for the purpose of living in Korea for 30 days or longer.
- You need to apply for change of service based on the child care circumstances (home care ↔ day care center ↔ kindergarten).
- Allowances are given from the month of application date until December of the year when the child turns 6 (aged under 84 months at most).
What benefits are offered?

Benefits
- Benefits are graded based on the infant’s age (in months) who is under 5 (from application date to 84 months).
- Below 12 months: KRW 200,000
- 12 – 24 months: KRW 150,000
- 24 – 84 months at most: KRW 100,000
- Allowances are given from the month of application date until December of the year when the child turns 6.
- For a handicapped child under 5 (from application date to 84 months), allowances are graded as per below.
- Below 36 months: KRW 200,000
- 36 – 84 months: KRW 100,000
- Allowances are given from the month of application date until December of the year when the child turns 6.
- For a child living in a farming and fishing village, allowances are graded according to age group as per below.
- Below 12 months: KRW 200,000
- 12 – 24 months: KRW 177,000
- 24 – 36 months: KRW 156,000
- 36 – 48 months: KRW 129,000
- 48 – 84 months at most: KRW 100,000
- Allowances are given from the month of application date until December of the year when the child turns 6.
- In case the child resides overseas for 90 days or longer, the assistance shall be suspended according to the Infant Care Act.
