Housing Support Program
for Female Victims of Violence

This program aims to help female victims of domestic violence or sexual abuse
become self-reliant by offering housing
where they can stay together with their families.
Who is eligible for the program?
  • Eligible candidates
    • Female victims of domestic violence or sexual abuse and their families who wish to be self-reliant
    • Residents of long-term protection centers and migrant women (excluding illegal immigrants)
    • Female victims with disabilities or whose family members have disabilities
  • Selection criteria
    • The Resident Selection Committee will decide who gets to live in the housing provided by this program based on the priorities below and on other criteria, such as whether the candidate has a job/certificate; whether he/she can be self-reliant; whether a male child will be living together with him/her; and whether a family member has disabilities; as well as the number of children, etc.
    • Priority is given to the following candidates:
      • Highest priority: Victims who have been in a protection center for more than 3 months; victims who have difficulty finding a protection facility to take them in because they have a male child older than 10 years of age (only those recommended by the head of the protection center); and youth/child victims of domestic sexual abuse who have not been accepted into a protection center before
      • 2nd highest priority: Victims who have been in a protection center for less than 3 months
      • 3rd highest priority: Victims who have not been accepted into a protection center before
      • ※ When deciding on the level of priority, whether the applicant is currently staying at a protection center is not considered.

What kind of benefits can I receive?
  • Scope of program
    • No deposit necessary to rent the housing
    • Financial assistance given for business operation fees (including HR costs for counsellors to help
      applicants become self-reliant and other fees)
    • ※ Residents need to pay maintenance fees and utilities.

How do I apply for the program?
  • How to apply
    • You can apply by visiting or sending an application form by regular mail to a domestic violence and sexual abuse clinic and protection center or the 1366 Center.
  • Selection process
    • The selection process is as follows:
    • 1 Application

      Apply for the program
      through 1366 Center or
      a domestic violence and
      sexual abuse clinic and
      protection center.

    • 2 Confirmation of
      eligibility
      and final selection

      The Housing Support
      Management Agency will
      check the eligibility of and
      select residents.

    • 3 Contract
      & move-in support

      The Housing Support
      Management Agency will
      sign a written contract
      and provide support for
      moving in.
