Informatization Training for Multicultural Families, Farmers and Fishermens
This program offers informatization training customized for marriage migrants, farmers and fishermen who have limited opportunities for such training due to financial issues and lack of access.
Who is eligible?

Targets
- Supports marriage immigrants and their families
- Supports farmers, fishermen and etc.
- Definitions of farmers, fishermen and etc.
- Farmers, fishermen and etc. are to be defined in accordance with the following:
Farmers: Article 3, Paragraph 2, of the Framework Act on Agriculture, Rural Community and Food Industry
Fishermen: Article 3, Paragraph 3, of the Framework Act on Fisheries and Fishing Villages Development

Selection Criteria

This policy targets households from multi-cultural families in 9 cities and provinces who experience difficulties in communication and participation in group education.
- Preferential Targets: Less than 3 years of entry, beneficiaries of livelihood, medical, residential or educational wages, low income mother-and-child families

Benefits
- Informatization Training for Multicultural Families (home visit)
- (Eligibility) Marriage migrants and their families Of all the multicultural families living in 9 cities/regions, those with the lowest chance of receiving informatization training due to a language barrier and lack of access
※ 9 cities/regions: Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon, Busan, Gyeongnam, Chungnam, Gyeongbuk, Jeonnam and Jeonbuk
※ Priority is given to: those eligible to receive the welfare services of the National Basic Living Security system and have lived in Korea for less than 3 years, low-income families with no father, etc.
- (Content) Customized informatization training by non-Korean IT instructors who will visit the families in-person
· Instructor: IT instructors from the same countries as the trainees will visit their homes.
· Program details: basic computer skills, how to use the Internet and smartphones, and operation of Hangul, Excel, PowerPoint and other software
- Informatization Training for Farmers and Fishermen
- (Eligibility) Farmers and fishermen, etc.
· Instructors will be sent to educational institutions in eups and myeons with more than 5 computers for the training.
- (Content) Customized informatization training by IT instructors who are also farmers/fishermen
· Instructors: instructors to be dispatched to institutions to provide the training
· Program details: basic computer skills, how to use the Internet, smartphones, SNS, and other multimedia, and operation of Hangul, Excel and other software
- (Period) 9 months
· 2 subjects/month for each educational institution, fewer than 30 hours per subject (can apply for the program 9 times/year)
- (Fees)
· All costs associated with the program, including costs for the dispatch of instructors and textbooks, are free of charge.
- (Support) Textbooks used for customized informatization training
· Informatization training textbooks published by the National Information Society Agency (NIA)
