Manpower Support for Vulnerable Farming Households (Farmworkers and Housekeepers)

We provide farming helpers for farming households suffering with accidents or diseases so that they may increase their incomes with stable farm work. And we provide aged so vulnerable families in the rural community with Happiness Sharers so that they can maintain their basic home life.
Who is eligible?
  • Target
    • Farmers facing difficulty in their farming activities due to an accident or illness are provided with assistance from farmworkers.
    • Happiness Sharers are supported to households over the age 65 living in the rural areas (including seniors living alone), beneficiary households under 50% of medial income level, marriage immigrants, multicultural families, grandparents raising children, households with the handicapped and silver halls in eup / myeon.
  • Selection Criteria
    • A farmer with not more than 5ha farm land who has difficulty in farming from an accident or a disease.
      • * For applicants who have been suffering from an injury for more than two (2) weeks or have been hospitalized for more than three (3) days for an illness or for applicants who have been diagnosed with any of the four major diseases and have received treatment from a hospital in the past six (6) months (and the hospital/medical clinic can confirm such fact)
    • Beneficiaries of Happiness Sharer program are selected from households aged over 65 living in rural areas (including seniors living alone), beneficiary households under 50% medial income level, marriage immigrants, multicultural families, grandparent raising children, households of handicapped and silver halls in eup / myeon.
What benefits can I receive?
  • Details of Support
    • In the case of farmworkers, KRW 49,000 (70% of the daily labor cost of KRW 70,000) is provided from the state fund for each day of service for up to 10 days per year (30% of the cost is borne by the service user).
    • In the case of housekeepers, KRW 8,400 (70% of the daily labor cost of KRW 12,000) is provided from the state fund for each day of service for up to 12 days per year (30% of the cost is borne by the Nonghyup).

    • Apply in person at the local office of the Nonghyup.

    • Applications are reviewed and approved through the following process:

    • 2 Eligibility Check

      The applicant’s eligibility is checked by the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation

    • 3 Applicant Selection

      Beneficiaries are selected by the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation.

    • 4 Notification to the
      Selected Applicants

      The selected applicants are notified by the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation regarding service provision.
